I want to hear about them! Ooh! Ooh! Pick me! I want to hear!
I'm about to go to bed but uhhh remind me that I need to work on my two personal projects. Cus I'm really bad at remembering and getting to them :')
Mostly just. Worldbuilding and character design and getting that stuff written down/drawn, but also! Eventually wanna look into game engines and the like! I wanna eventually turn them both into games and I've already got a good start on stuff :D I'm currently learning Java via school and HTML/CSS on my own to mess around with Neocities and I want to start picking up C++ at some point.
Anyways hfbdbdhhd basically I have Ideas and Things I Want To Do but I am. Very forgetful and I have been extra tired this past month or two.
Also do you want me to ramble about the projects? C:
#I know looots about code and stuff and can help too#C++ is my fave lang#Java was first lang#dabbled in a number of game engines too

áŞââ âŚââ ââ TWO TRUTHS & A LIEâËâL. HEESEUNG
playing hindi tayo pwede by the juans ăť gender netural reader + word count 962 genre angst .. filo au .. situationship warnings mentions of : citrus fruit .. reckless drivers .. kissing â trans. & cred. to byhees for the cute layout
you love the rain.
thereâs this certain serenity that accompanies those pretty dew drops. maybe itâs in the way they pitter patter upon the asphalt. or perhaps itâs the striking color palette of your umbrella that contrasts the skiesâ gloomy visage.
(people always did say that lemons make the best remedy. you just so happen to have more than several duplicates of the citrus fruit printed on your shield.)
of course, thereâs some frustration that comes with sudden rainfall. such as wearing white shoes that already get teased by fellow footwear through the method of stepping on them. you also canât forget calculating how much force you must put into leaping over puddles like youâre competing in the olympics.
(well itâs shoes vs. life. and seeing as how even speed bumps canât prevent drivers from embracing their inner dominic torreto, youâll take your chances with the soaked footwear.)
but there is no serenity, white shoes, puddles, or fast and furious au characters.
itâs just you and heeseung. your umbrella and his (one vibrant noon and the other, bland midnight). and heavy rainfall lingering by the corner.
you and him; we and us.
at first, you thought it was merely a dream. maybe you stayed up too late and too oftenâto the point where even when youâre awake, your restless mind wrapped you up in such vivid scenarios.
(if only it was that active during class discussions. then your grades would be the only thing you would have been worrying over during that week.)
after the words came the gesture. and the thing about it is it doesnât matter how hard you tried to convince yourself otherwise.
there was no way your mind could suddenly concoct the feeling that came out of his java chip-stained lips against yours. nor could it accurately etch the firm yet careful press of his hands upon your waistâa grip youâd become accustomed to later rather than sooner.
(another thing to acknowledge is that no matter how familiar you become with that little habit of his, it doesnât stop being a trigger. you know.. for the fireworks that sear across your body because those lithe fingertips love retracing their prints on your bare skin.)
but now he has a hand wrapped around the handle of his umbrella. its partner is tucked safely in his coat pocket; as if the thick material would keep the tremors at bay.
and you? youâre hoping this is merely a dream.
because if thereâs any best time for your mind to get imaginative, itâs now.
you were the endgame.
so many things look good on heeseung. in fact, if you wanted to, you could compile a whole book filled with things that complement the raven-haired male. that would have been a unique gift for your dating anniversary..
âhave beenâ being the key word.
âalam mo..â your stupid voice is already on the verge of breaking. but your stubbornness does not understand the concept of timing, hence why youâre determined to follow through.
bambi. your bambi.
even though you canât remember it vividly anymore, you can recall the way his lips waned into a meek smile. and just like how the icing canât be complete without the cherry (you dislike icing, he constantly picks off cherriesâthe irony), the crimson hue on the tips of his ears always accompany his replication of the glowing crescent hung above your heads.
âsalamat din, tink. hindi ka nagdala ng liwanag sa buhay ko, kasi ikaw mismo ang naging liwanag ko. ewan ko kung may secret ability ka, pero tuwing bumibigat yung loob ko, at tinago ko yun mula sa mundo, you were always there to make sure i didnât carry the weight by myself.â
fuck it. you no longer care if the downpour drenches you; glues your clothes to your skin.
your umbrella falls limp by your side while you wrap your arms around heeseung. it hurts and soothes your aching soul when you feel him immediately copy your gesture.
âi love you.â you murmur into his shoulder.
âi love you too.â
one of you has to pull away. itâs a known fact; an idea neither of you want to accept.. but thatâs just how reality works, doesnât it?
heeseung decides to sort of take one for the team. it doesnât fully count when his hands merely travel back to a familiar place: your waist.
after two daysâfourty eight (48) hours of not being able to rest his trembling hands upon that space, heâs afraid itâs fading from his mind. one more time, the cold pads of his fingers walk across those invisible lines. he caresses the unfamiliar spanse, commits them to memory again.
then, with plenty of reluctance, he takes his hands off to grasp something important to you. a sheepish laugh echoes from the depths of his cracked heart as he holds your umbrella above your head.
âoo nga, parang walang kwenta na gamitin yan ngayon.â you reply, the shadow of a smile lingering on your countenance.
after sharing some deliberation and more laughter, you keep the shield over your head. heeseung chooses the same approach, despite his raven tresses already clinging to his forehead. it makes sense, seeing as how the conclusion you two fell upon is that getting sick is just like almost every other aspect in life; it isnât guaranteed.
just as you begin your walk to your house, he calls out your name. you turn on your heel to see him standing there, looking at you with a golden gleam in his doe eyes.
âsana kapag pwede na, pwede pa.â
taglist havenât thought of it yet..

Understanding the Basics of PHP
Before diving into writing scripts, itâs crucial to understand the fundamentals of PHP. This section will cover the essential concepts that every beginner should know.
What is PHP?
PHP is a server-side scripting language designed primarily for web development but also used as a general-purpose programming language.Â
It allows developers to create dynamic content that interacts with databases and can handle user input effectively.
Why Use PHP?
Cross-Platform Compatibility: PHP runs on various platforms (Windows, Linux, macOS), making it versatile for different server environments.
Database Integration: PHP seamlessly integrates with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite, allowing for efficient data management.
Open Source: Being open-source means that PHP is free to use and has a large community contributing to its continuous improvement and support.
Ease of Learning: The syntax of PHP is similar to C and Java, making it relatively easy for beginners to pick up.
Setting Up Your Development Environment
To start writing PHP scripts, youâll need a suitable development environment. Hereâs how to set it up:
Install XAMPP/WAMP/MAMP: These are popular packages that include Apache server, MySQL database, and PHP interpreter.
XAMPP: Cross-platform solution available for Windows, Linux, and macOS.
WAMP: Windows-specific solution.
MAMP: Mac-specific solution.
Create Your Project Directory:
Navigate to the htdocs folder within your XAMPP installation directory (usually found at C:\xampp\htdocs on Windows).
Create a new folder for your project (e.g., my_first_php_project).
Choose an IDE or Text Editor:
Popular choices include Visual Studio Code, Sublime Text, or PhpStorm. These editors provide syntax highlighting and debugging tools that enhance your coding experience.
Writing Your First PHPÂ Script
Now that your environment is set up, letâs write your first simple PHP script.
Step 1: Create a New File
Open your text editor or IDE.
Create a new file named index.php in your project directory.
Step 2: Write Basic PHPÂ Code
Add the following code to index.php:
php
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang=âenâ>
<head>
<meta charset=âUTF-8">
<meta name=âviewportâ content=âwidth=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">
<title>My First PHP Page</title>
</head>
<body>
<h1>Welcome to My First PHP Page!</h1>
<?php
echo âHello, World! This is my first PHP script.â;
?>
</body>
</html>
Step 3: Run Your Script
Start the Apache server using XAMPP Control Panel.
Open your web browser and navigate to http://localhost/my_first_php_project/index.php.
You should see âWelcome to My First PHP Page!â followed by âHello, World! This is my first PHP script.â displayed on the page.
Understanding Basic Syntax
PHP scripts can be embedded within HTML code. The opening tag <?php indicates the start of a PHP block, while ?> marks its end. Here are some key points about PHP syntax:
Variables: Variables in PHP start with a dollar sign ($). For example:
php
$name = âJohn Doeâ;
echo $name; // Outputs: John Doe
Data Types: Common data types include strings, integers, floats, booleans, arrays, and objects.
Comments: Use comments to document your code:
php
// This is a single-line comment
/* This is a
multi-line comment */
Control Structures
Control structures allow you to control the flow of execution in your scripts.
Conditional Statements
Conditional statements execute different blocks of code based on certain conditions:
php
$age = 18;
if ($age >= 18) {
echo âYou are an adult.â;
} else {
echo âYou are not an adult.â;
}
Looping Statements
Loops enable repetitive execution of code blocks:
For Loop:
php
for ($i = 0; $i < 5; $i++) {
echo âNumber: $i<br>â;
}
While Loop:
php
$count = 0;
while ($count < 5) {
echo âCount: $count<br>â;
$count++;
}
Working with Functions
Functions are reusable blocks of code that perform specific tasks.
Defining Functions
You can define functions using the function keyword:
php
function greet($name) {
return âHello, $name!â;
}
echo greet(âAliceâ); // Outputs: Hello, Alice!
Built-in Functions
PHP comes with numerous built-in functions for various purposes:
String manipulation functions like strlen(), str_replace(), etc.
Array functions like array_push(), array_merge(), etc.
Handling Forms and User Input
One of the key aspects of web development is handling user input through forms.
Creating HTMLÂ Forms
You can create forms using standard HTML elements:
xml
<form action=âprocess.phpâ method=âpostâ>
Name: <input type=âtextâ name=ânameâ><br>
Age: <input type=ânumberâ name=âageâ><br>
<input type=âsubmitâ value=âSubmitâ>
</form>
Processing Form Data in PHP
To process submitted form data:
php
// process.php
if ($_SERVER[âREQUEST_METHODâ] == âPOSTâ) {
$name = $_POST[ânameâ];
$age = $_POST[âageâ];
echo âName: $name<br>â;
echo âAge: $age<br>â;
}
Form Validation and Security
Always validate user input before processing it:
php
if (!empty($name) && filter_var($age, FILTER_VALIDATE_INT)) {
// Process valid input
} else {
echo âInvalid input.â;
}
Working with Databases (MySQL)
Integrating databases into your applications allows for dynamic data management.
Connecting to MySQLÂ Database
To connect to a MySQL database using PDO (PHP Data Objects):
php
try {
$pdo = new PDO(âmysql:host=localhost;dbname=my_databaseâ, âusernameâ, âpasswordâ);
} catch (PDOException $e) {
echo âConnection failed: â . $e->getMessage();
}
Performing CRUD Operations
CRUD stands for Create, Read, Update, Delete operations on database records.
Create Operation
php
$sql = âINSERT INTO users (name, age) VALUES (:name, :age)â;
$stmt = $pdo->prepare($sql);
$stmt->execute([ânameâ => âJohnâ, âageâ => 30]);
Read Operation
php
$sql = âSELECT * FROM usersâ;
$stmt = $pdo->query($sql);
while ($row = $stmt->fetch()) {
echo $row[ânameâ]Â . â<br>â;
}
Update Operation
php
$sql = âUPDATE users SET age =Â :age WHERE name =Â :nameâ;
$stmt = $pdo->prepare($sql);
$stmt->execute([âageâ => 31, ânameâ => âJohnâ]);
Delete Operation
php
$sql = âDELETE FROM users WHERE name =Â :nameâ;
$stmt = $pdo->prepare($sql);
$stmt->execute([ânameâ => âJohnâ]);
Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in PHP
OOP allows for more organized code through encapsulation and inheritance.
Defining Classes and Objects
You can define classes using the class keyword:
php
class User {
public $name;
public function __construct($name) {
$this->name = $name;
}
public function greet() {
return âHello, {$this->name}!â;
}
}
$user = new User(âAliceâ);
echo $user->greet(); // Outputs: Hello, Alice!
Inheritance in OOP
Inheritance allows one class to inherit properties and methods from another class:
php
class Admin extends User {
public function greet() {
return âWelcome back, Admin {$this->name}!â;
}
}
$admin = new Admin(âBobâ);
echo $admin->greet(); // Outputs: Welcome back, Admin Bob!
Error Handling in PHP
Handling errors gracefully is crucial for maintaining application stability.
Using Try-Catch Blocks
You can catch exceptions using try-catch blocks:
php
try {
// Code that may throw an exception
} catch (Exception $e) {
echo âCaught exception: â, $e->getMessage(), â\nâ;
}
Best Practices for Writing Clean Code
Writing clean code improves maintainability and readability:
Use Meaningful Variable Names: Choose descriptive names for variables and functions.
Keep Functions Short: Each function should perform one task only.
Comment Your Code: Use comments judiciously to explain complex logic but avoid over-commenting obvious code.
Follow Coding Standards: Adhere to consistent coding standards such as PSR (PHP Standards Recommendations).
Advanced Topics in PHP
As you become more comfortable with basic concepts in PHP scripting, itâs time to explore some advanced topics that will enhance your skills further.
Working with Sessions
Sessions allow you to store user information across multiple pages during their visit to your website.
Starting a Session
To use sessions in PHP:
php
session_start(); // Must be called before any output is sent
$_SESSION[âusernameâ] = âJohnDoeâ;
Accessing Session Variables
To access session variables on another page:
php
session_start();
echo $_SESSION[âusernameâ]; // Outputs: JohnDoe
Destroying Sessions
To end a session when itâs no longer needed:
php
session_start();
session_destroy(); // Destroys all data registered to a session
File Handling
PHP provides functions for reading from and writing to files on the server.
Writing Data to Files
You can write data to files using fopen() and fwrite() functions:
php
$file = fopen(âexample.txtâ, âwâ);
fwrite($file, âHello World!â);
fclose($file);
Reading Data from Files
To read data from files:
php
$file = fopen(âexample.txtâ, ârâ);
$content = fread($file, filesize(âexample.txtâ));
fclose($file);
echo $content; // Outputs: Hello World!
Using Composer
Composer is a dependency manager for PHP that simplifies package management.
Installing Composer
To install Composer globally on your system:
Download Composer installer from getcomposer.org.
Follow installation instructions based on your operating system.
Using Composer
To create a new project with Composer:
Navigate to your project directory in the terminal.
Run:
bash
composer init
Follow prompts to set up your project configuration.
You can then require packages by running:
bash
composer require vendor/package-name
Security Best Practices
Security should always be a priority when developing web applications with PHP. Here are some key practices:
Input Validation
Always validate user inputs before processing them:
php
$name = filter_input(INPUT_POST, ânameâ, FILTER_SANITIZE_STRING);
$age = filter_input(INPUT_POST,âageâ, FILTER_VALIDATE_INT);
if (!$age) {
die(âInvalid age provided.â);
}
Prepared Statements
Use prepared statements when interacting with databases to prevent SQL injection attacks:
php
$stmt = $pdo->prepare(âSELECT * FROM users WHERE email=:emailâ);
$stmt->execute([âemailâ => $_POST[âemailâ]]);
$user = $stmt->fetch();
Password Hashing
Never store passwords as plain text; always hash them before saving them in the database:
php
$passwordHash = password_hash($passwordInput , PASSWORD_DEFAULT);
// Store `$passwordHash` in the database instead of plain password.
To verify passwords during login:
php
if (password_verify($passwordInput ,$passwordHash)) {
echo âPassword is valid!â;
} else {
echo âInvalid password.â;
}
Debugging Techniques
Debugging is an essential skill for developers when things donât work as expected.
Enabling Error Reporting
During development phases enable error reporting by adding this line at the top of your script:
php
error_reporting(E_ALL);
ini_set(âdisplay_errorsâ, 1);
This will display all errors directly on the page during development which helps identify issues quickly but should be disabled on production sites.
Using Debugging Tools
Tools such as Xdebug provide advanced debugging capabilities including stack traces which help trace issues back through function calls leading up until an error occurs.
Real-World Applications of PHP
Understanding how PHP fits into real-world applications will solidify your knowledge further.
Content Management Systems (CMS)
Many popular CMS platforms such as WordPress are built using PHP. Learning how these systems work can provide insights into best practices for building scalable applications.
WordPress Development: You might want to explore creating themes or plugins which involves understanding hooks and filters within WordPressâs architecture.
E-commerce Platforms
Building e-commerce websites often involves complex functionalities like user authentication systems along with payment gateway integrations which rely heavily on secure coding practices learned through mastering core concepts in PHP development.
Example Project Idea: Create an online store where users can register accounts; add products into their cart; checkout securely using payment gateways like PayPal or Stripe integrated via API calls handled through backend scripts written in php!
RESTful APIs
PHP can also be used to build RESTful APIs which allow different applications or services communicate over HTTP protocols seamlessly exchanging data formats like JSON or XML making it easier integrate third-party services into existing applications without much hassle!
Hereâs an example snippet demonstrating how you might set up routes within an API built using php:
php
header(âContent-Type: application/jsonâ);
$requestMethod=$_SERVER[âREQUEST_METHODâ];
switch ($requestMethod) {
case âGETâ:
// Handle GET request
break;
case âPOSTâ:
// Handle POST request
break;
case âPUTâ:
// Handle PUT request
break;
case âDELETEâ:
// Handle DELETE request
break;
default:
http_response_code(405); // Method Not Allowed
break;
}
Common Pitfalls When Learning PHP
As you learn more about writing scripts in php here are some common pitfalls students often face along their journey!
Not Understanding Scope: Variables defined inside functions have local scope meaning they cannot be accessed outside those functions unless explicitly returned or declared global which leads many beginners confused when trying access them elsewhere leading errors being thrown unexpectedly!
Overusing Global Variables: While globals may seem convenient they make tracking down bugs much harder since any part could change its value at any time leading unpredictable behavior instead try pass values around via function parameters whenever possible!
Ignoring Security Measures: Failing implement proper security measures opens doors malicious attacks such as SQL injections so always sanitize inputs validate data before processing anything coming from users!
Neglecting Documentation & Comments: As projects grow larger keeping track becomes increasingly difficult without proper documentation so take time write clear comments explaining logic behind decisions made throughout codebase helps others understand intentions behind design choices later down line!
Not Testing Thoroughly Enough Before Deployment: Always test thoroughly before deploying anything live since bugs missed during development phases could cause significant issues once exposed real-world scenarios especially if sensitive information involved!

I opened the fb app but naalala ko na much better if tiktok nalang, nahide ko na yung app but nakita ko na may story siya, which is picture niya habang naka-mask. Bumalik ako sa app to make sure if tama ba nakita ko. Nag scroll up ako until umpisa and nag skim, sa chat ni girl I know na crush niya si Mac.
After namin mag take out sa sb at pumarada.

Quote of the Week
Common arguments against Rust's safety guarantees:
The library you're binding to can have a segfault in it.
RAM can physically fail, causing dangling pointers.
The computer the Rust program is running on can be hit by a meteorite.
Alan Turing can come back from the dead and tell everyone that he actually made up computer science and none of it is real, thus invalidating every program ever made, including all Rust programs.

hey bestie whatâs the best device or most compatible for cs??đĽ°
hiii belovedđŤśđ˝
to me, it's based on preference and what type of cs you're going to focus on. if you're just starting out, I think PCs work better with almost all languages/programs. dell, hp, surface, etc will all work fine..
with macs, you may need adapters/hubs with some languages, and that could get overwhelming if you're a beginner. also you'll want as much space/storage as possible. quality and performance is all there tho. tbh I donât think thereâs a bad choice to makeđ
#answered#idk ur price points..preferences..langs..etc so i just heavily generalized everything hehe<3#i use both macs/pcs and my preference varies depending on what it is I'm working on#when i first started cs i was working on java on my mac and i hated it adsjkfk did it on a PC and it went a lot smoother#if youre just starting or continuing your cs journey best of luck amor!!â¤ď¸đŤ

~*~ Rhett's POV
Parehas kaming course which is BA in Communication. 4th year ako nun 3rd year college siya, So I bet graduating student siya ngayon.
BF niya siguro 'to.
Ahh so Farrah pala pangalan niya.
Siguro nga mag jowa tong dalawang to.
Farrah???
"Miss anong nangyayari dito?"
First time kong pumunta dito tapos ganito pa may reservation palang nalalaman!
"Anong nginingiti ngiti mo diyan??"
Wow! Just wow! Salamat Rhett ah?
"Yes, Sir?"
Manyak!!! Ano akala mo sakin, easy to get?!!!"
Hayyy
"Hello? Who am I speaking? Huh?! Anong hospital?? Saan!? Wala akong maintindihan sorry saan ulit??"
"Okay okay sige po, thank you for informing us.
"Excuse me, may I ask what is happening here?"
Wag kang mataranta, you got me.
"Let me drive for the both of you, matagal makapag pabook ng lalarentcar dito medyo looban pa kasi 'tong lugar, tara na!"
I just want to help may mali ba don??
"Let's go!
Hahahaha
"I'm Farrah, Farrah Cassandra Elliott. You choose what name you want to call me" sagot niya sakin na nakatingin padin siya sa rear mirror. "Anyway, thank you sa pagmamagandang loob samin, highly appreciated!
Ah so, 4th year college na nga siya tama nga ako.
"You know what, you did nothing wrong. Just relax yourself, you need to be strong for your Mom" sabi ko na parang hindi siya nakumbinse.
I salute Jax for being her comfort.
"You'll be okay Cass, you'll be okay" dagdag pa ni Jax habang nakahawak siya sa kamay nito.
Kung hindi mo talaga sila kakilala? Mararamdaman mo talagang sila, makikita mo talagang parang sila.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry for your loss" sabi ko kay Farrah, tumingin siya sakin at nginitian niya akong bahagya.
"Yes, Dad?"
"Uhm, Royce??"
"A--mara?? Amara?? are you here?? God! I miss you! I know it's you"
"Royce!!!! Yes, I really missed you too!! medyo kani kanina pa kami nakauwi nagkaroon lang akong jetlag kaya nagpahinga muna ako bago ako tumawag sayo at medyo nahirapan din akong maghanap ng number mo dahil hindi ko alam number ni Tito Martin, anyways where are you?"
"Nasa Immaculate Hospital ako, may emergency kasi. Do you have plans today? Can you wait for me?
Plus, kaya ako tumawag sayo because I want us to catch up!! Ang dami kong gustong sabihin in person that's why I'm here in Makati.
Okay sige, i'll be there around 30 minutes. Magpapaalam lang ako sa mga kasama ko then i'll go there"
"Yea, sure! Take care okay? don't get in a hurry, it's okay I can wait even if it's toooooo long" ramdam ko padin ang pag alala niya sakin lalo pag babyahe ako.
"Copy Ma'am! See you later Lianne" Pagpapaalam ko
"Hmm Farrah, Jax? I'm really sorry but my bestfriend called me, do you mind if I excuse myself?" I don't want to be rude sa awra na nangyayari ngayon, I need to respect them especially the situation they're going through. I'll just give them the space they need.
"You are most welcome! Btw, I'm Rhett. If you need me or if you want to have a little chitchat, someone to talk to, call me by this number. I'm all ears.
KUNG MERON MAN PO AKONG PAGKAKAMALI, FEEL FREE TO DM ME OR COMMENT, SISIKAPIN KO PONG BAGUHIN AT PAG ARALAN PA. MARAMING SALAMAT PO! â¤

If you, like me, do not play on the English (US) language option, but do play Java edition, here's how you too can make a resource pack to change 'golem' to, well, whatever word you want (guide created for 1.17 but should work regardless):
Method 1: Alter the above pack (should work with no issues if you play on any English language);
Step one: Download SuddenEclipse's resource pack.
Step two: Locate the file 'en_us.json' in 'assets/minecraft/lang'
Step three: Go to https://www.georgepeirson.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/language_names-1.txt and locate your language.
Step four: Rename en_us.json accordingly. If you play on British English, for example, you'll see that the language code is en_gb. Replace the 'us' with 'gb' and you're good to go.
Step five (partially optional?): Delete every line from the file that doesn't refer to either entity. This is for three reasons: One: They aren't actually needed for it to work. Source: I never include that stuff myself. Two: I'm not sure if the first few lines will break it as they refer to US English. Three: If you leave them you'll turn your language into a clone of US English.
Step six: Load the resource pack into your game as normal.
Method 2: Create a resource pack from scratch (you might want to do this if you don't play on an English language)
Step one: Create a folder. This is your resource pack folder. Name it whatever you like.
Step two: Create a text file called pack.mcmeta. Open this and paste in the following (for 1.17):
{ "pack": { "pack_format": 7, "description": "Describe your pack here" } }
Step three: Create another folder within your pack and call it 'assets'.
Step four: Create a folder within assets and call it 'minecraft'.
Step five: Create a folder within minecraft and call it 'lang'
Step six: Go to https://www.georgepeirson.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/language_names-1.txt and locate your language.
Step seven: Create a text file and call it 'LANGUAGE CODE HERE.json'. For example, if you play on German German, you would call it 'de_de.json', if you play on Mexican Spanish you would call it 'es_mx.json'
Step eight: Open the file and paste in the following:
{ "entity.minecraft.iron_golem": "", "entity.minecraft.snow_golem": "", "subtitles.entity.iron_golem.attack": "", "subtitles.entity.iron_golem.damage": "", "subtitles.entity.iron_golem.death": "", "subtitles.entity.iron_golem.hurt": "", "subtitles.entity.iron_golem.repair": "", "subtitles.entity.snow_golem.death": "", "subtitles.entity.snow_golem.hurt": "", "advancements.adventure.summon_iron_golem.description": "", }
Step nine: Within each of the double quotes at the end, enter whatever you want. An example from my resource pack is below:
"entity.minecraft.iron_golem": "Iron Guardian", "entity.minecraft.snow_golem": "Snowman", "subtitles.entity.iron_golem.attack": "Iron Guardian attacks", "subtitles.entity.iron_golem.damage": "Iron Guardian breaks", "subtitles.entity.iron_golem.death": "Iron Guardian dies", "subtitles.entity.iron_golem.hurt": "Iron Guardian hurts", "subtitles.entity.iron_golem.repair": "Iron Guardian repaired", "subtitles.entity.snow_golem.death": "Snowman dies", "subtitles.entity.snow_golem.hurt": "Snowman hurts", "advancements.adventure.summon_iron_golem.description": "Summon an Iron Guardian to help defend a village",
Step ten: Load the resource pack into your game as normal.
golem to construct minecraft resource pack
hi! so, for those unaware, the golems in minecraft are appropriating from jewish culture (< link leads to a post my jewish friend made on it). a lot of people have suggested that they are renamed to constructs instead, and i have gone and made a basic resource pack that alters both the iron and snow golems to be referred to as constructs instead
[image description: a screenshot of the game minecraft, featuring an iron construct standing on a sandy beach. the game has the chat window open, and there is an achivement pop-up for the achivement hired help, which has the description of "summon an iron constuct to help defend a village". end ID]
^ example photo
this doesn't alter any textures, it simply changes the language files to refer to them as constructs instead. this pack only works on the english (us) language option, and is java only.
here's the download link if you are interested

POLYMORPHISM UNBOUND
Bruce Eckel
AUTHOR/CONSULTANT
@BruceEckel
Bruce was studying at the oceanography school at UW!
Cfront was a type of C++ sent to schools on tapes that would generate code to run through a C compiler.
Cfront had virtual classes and dynamic binding.
Simula67 was the first OO language. The common thing you need to do is send messages to step simulations forward.
Smalltalk evolved from Simula to introduce code reuse through inheritance. But Smalltalk is inherently dynamic: it is part of its nature.
Alan Kay regrets not calling OOP Message-oriented Programming. Since OOP is really all about message passing.
C++ took the idea of inheritance and dynamic binding and expanded it. C++ was statically typedâŚfor safety!
With C++, you don't have to use objects if you don't want to.
Then Java came along to say: if objects are good, then objects are the best. Everything is an object! And Static typing is also the best! ButâŚinheritance was a mistake.
What is polymorphism? A type that represents multiple types. Usually as a function parameter. Why would you do this??!?
We are somehow fitting a group of types into a single type.
Ad-hoc polymorphism, aka Overloading. The same function taking different arguments. Under the hood, this is jus two different functions.
Kotlin by default makes all functions final, use the open keyword to make them open.
Overloading is in a lot of languages: Java, C++, Kotlin, etc.
Subtype Polymorphism: "Classic" inheritance. Follows the Liskov Substitution Principle.
Multiple Inheritance: forces an existing set of types into a hierarchy. This is useful if you are handed classes that you cannot change. ButâŚit gets messy.
Multiple inheritance is really just composition in the guise of inheritance.
But true composition is much cleaner than multiple inheritance for code reuse and readability.
C++ is private by default, and it allows you to do private inheritance. It is not used very often.
Parametric Polymorphism: Generics in Java, Templates in C++
Now you have a parameter that creates a class of types instead of just one type. Mostly used for standard libraries for generic use cases.
Parametirc polymorphism allows you to introduce pattern matching! (Which we are getting with Java 19, LET'S GO!)
Kotlin has reified generics, Scala has that too.
Duck Typing: In dynamically typed languages, we can just throw a method at an object, and if it works, it works! "If it quacks like a duck, it is a duck!"
C++ has duck typing through templates. The templates do function overloading for you!
Union Types, aka Sum Types: creating anonymous types by combining multiple types (Type1 | Type2 | Type3)
Union types allow you to get errors at type check time instead of run or compile time (aka faster)
Go has a version of union types, but they are composed differently.
C++ has union types, too, but it is not pretty
Protocols: another way to mash your types together. Now you can have interfaces that invert the control of your inheritance.
Algebraic Data Types (ADTs). Martin was all about Enums in Scala 3. ADTs become case classes in Scala. The ADT makes sure the pattern match is exhaustive.
Type Classes: Type classes allow you to extend generic functions to, again, invert control of execution. A type class is an adapter that is taken care of at compile time.
Multiple Dispatching (need more info here)
Takeaways:
Why do we want to treat multiple types into a single type: capturing and reusing concepts.
Donât do it without questioning!
Was OO a mistake? No, sometimes it is quite useful, just not ALL THE TIME.
Ad-hoc polymorphism is used all over the place: map, foldLeft, FoldRight, flatMap, etc.
Thank you, Bruce, for the great talk!

First-ever interactive virtual LTS held
For the first time amidst the COVID19 pandemic, an interactive virtual Leadership Training Seminar for recognized student organizations was conducted by the Student Development and Programs Office with CPU alumni, J Vincent Gasataya and Albert Jan Matthew Java as facilitators last February 19, 2022.
Gasataya and Java, the LTS facilitators are true-blooded Centralians, CPU Loyalty awardees, and were active leaders during their student days.
Gasataya, a Cum laude BS ECE graduate, was a regional finalist of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) and was once the chairman of the TOSP- Victors while Java, a Cum laude BS Accty graduate, Alma Mater awardee and former CPU Republic president, was a national finalist in the TOSP, No. 2 awardee and leader in the Outstanding Students of Iloilo (TOSIA).
A representative of CPU Teatro, Sining, Atbp., Regimika Malunda said that the LTS was more than what she expected, for it was fun and informative reminding her about what a Centralian leader should be and allowing her to share her thoughts and take-aways with other student leaders.
âIt was not the kind of leadership training I was expecting or should I say it was more than what Iâve expected. It was fun, informative, and it lets us engage with other leaders as well as with the facilitators. It gave us the opportunity to share our thoughts and take-aways. It guided me on how to handle the responsibility of being a leader to my org and it reminded me of what a Centralian leader should be,â Malunda said.
According to Danica Rose Zepansa of the CPU Association of Chemistry Students, the LTS taught her patience, the need to be always imaginative and objective, and to consider everything as a challenge to overcome.
Zepansa said, âI have learned patience in the activities. No matter how long, you must persevere to get the correct answer. Always be imaginative and objective to everything and treat everything not as a game but a challenge to overcome.â
In addition, Zepansa said that though it was difficult to converse online, we should not be afraid to speak up and make mistakes for the latter make us see what we should do.
âIt was difficult to converse virtually but donât be afraid to speak up, seek help and make mistakes. Mistakes let us realize what we should do, and time may come when weâll get tired, but always keep in mind that it is just part of the process,â Zepansa said.
Edalrehce Abogadil Forro, a member of the CPU Realm of Aureum Phoenixes, shared that she enjoyed the LTS very much and was not bored even though it was done virtually because the facilitator Mr. Java was really good and super alive when he hosted.
âSuper nag enjoy gid ko. I thought boring sya , kase virtual lang, pero sir Java is really good. Super alive mag host hahaha,â Forro said
Forro further said that she learned much from the training especially about the real meaning of teamwork and leadership, about herself through the Johari window activity and about the need to look at the bigger things so that more opportunities and ideas can be created.
âI learned a lot. And marami den akong realizations about myself, especially yung Johari window, super nakahelp sya para mas ma analyze yung self ko. And na learn ko rin na, hindi dapat mag focus sa maliit lang, it is better kung titingnan natin yung bigger things para mas maraming opportunities and ideas na mabuo,â Forro added.
Together with other participants, Forro was thankful for the opportunity to join the interactive leadership seminar.
âThank you for this opportunity na makajoin sa ganitong seminar. I learned a lot,â Forro said.
The LTS is an annual activity conducted by the Student Development and Programs Office headed by its director, Dr. Margen Java, and it aims to enhance the leadership skills of CPU students.
This yearâs event was attended by 57 representatives of various CPU student organizations â academic (33), special (10), religious (7), cultural (1), sports (1) fraternities (4), and CPUR (1), according to Ms. Artchel Madera, SDP secretary who served in the LTS Secretariat together with Ms. Ciarra Guilamo and Ms. Mary Joy Alonsagay.

i swear to god i cannot stand java. at first i thought that learning a second programming lang would be easier because its like normal languages, it gets easier to learn a new one, and in one way thats true, but on the other hand. python is SO easy (relatively). its got such a nice aesthetic to it, very readable, the whitespace is lovely and the syntax is simple
BUT JAVA? i cannot fucking STAND this shit. these stupid ass semicolons at the end of every statement, the stupid ass curly braces for EVERYTHING that exists. and its especially irritating because the stupid website that we use for the java homework doesnt even have the grace to auto fill in the curly braces like an actual java ide would do. im at my wits fucking end
and how for loops in python are so graceful. so lovely. but in java its the worst fucking thing ever. and trying to access the individual characters in a string in java? oh the HORROR. index notation is so fucking easy in python its just string[index] but in java its like string.charAt(index). just writign it out simply like this isnt so bad but when youâre trying to do fairly complicated (beginner) programs its like WHY am i doing this. this would be so fucking easy in python but itâs like pulling teeth in java
#ITERATING OVER A STRING IS SO LOVELY IN PYTHON ITS JUST FOR CHAR IN STRING#but in JAVA its like for(int i = 0; i < string.length(); i++)#AND THEN THE FUCKING CURLY BRACES AROUND THE WHOLE LOOP!!!#im losing my MIND#you start to lose track once you start dealing with loops that do more than 2 things#and then trying to keep track of what curly braces go where is like *UJYTGFDSA#for each loops in python are not only A. short but they are also B. very intuitive#but in java? look at that thing. how intuitive is that#even if you do use a counter driven loop in python its still more intuitive in that. for i in range(len(string))#but the thing IS when you're iterating over the characters in a string its better to use a for each loop anyway#but in java? i think a for each loop does exist but we werent fucking taught it yet#i tried googling it and its the most bat shit looking thing ive evr seen. i'll just stick to this stupid counter driven loop i guess#UGH!#brot posts

Ylang Ylang Oil
The common name, pronounced "Ee-lang Ee-lang," comes from the repeat of the Tagalog word "ilang," which means "wilderness," which is where the tree grows naturally. The tropical rainforests of the Philippines, Indonesia, Java, Sumatra, Comoro, and Polynesia are among the places where it is native or farmed. The Fragrant Cananga, The Perfume Tree, and The Macassar Oil Plant are all names for the Ylang Ylang tree, which is scientifically known as Cananga odorata.
Uses of Ylang Ylang Hydrosol Â
Ylang Ylang Hydrosol is made by steam distilling the sea star-shaped floral sections of the plant. It has a perfume that is characterised as pleasantly and softly floral, fresh, and fruity with a fruity undertone. There are five different types of Ylang Ylang Hydrosol on the market: Extra is the distillate collected in the first 1-2 hours of distillation, whereas grades I, II, and III of Ylang Ylang Hydrosol are extracted in the succeeding hours by precisely set fractions of time. Ylang Ylang Complete is the name given to the fifth variety. This ultimate distillation of Ylang Ylang is usually reached after 6-20 hours of distillation

Ylang Ylang flowers, which are thought to have aphrodisiac characteristics, are sprinkled on a newlywed couple's bed in Indonesia. Healers in the Philippines use Ylang Ylang Hydrosol to treat cuts, burns, and bites from insects and snakes. The oil was used to manufacture Macassar Oil, a popular hair pomade on the Molucca islands. Ylang Ylang Oil was first utilised as an effective cure for bowel infections, typhus, and malaria in the early twentieth century, after its therapeutic characteristics were identified by a French chemist. It eventually gained worldwide acclaim for its capacity to promote relaxation by alleviating the symptoms and consequences of anxiety and negative stress.
